We've been building high quality stainless and alloy airboxes for the 80 Series LandCruiser for over five years, and this LS1 Panel Filter Airbox is one of the products that helped put Radius Fabrications on the map.

Designed specifically for maximum cold-air flow, this airbox is built to keep dust, water and debris out of your intake while giving your 80 Series the cleanest air possible. Whether you're running dusty outback tracks, crossing rivers, or climbing snow-covered fire trails in the High Country, this airbox is engineered to perform.

Pair this airbox with one of our extremely popular mandrel-bent stainless snorkels for the ultimate in reliability, airflow, and off-road capability.

• Suits Toyota 80 Series LandCruiser (1990–1997)
• Suits Diesel models (1HZ, 1HD-T)
• Compatible with Radius Fab short-entry snorkels (factory or Radius airbox)
• Compatible with Radius Fab long-entry snorkels only when paired with Radius Off-Centre Port airbox
• Ports are 4” inlet & 4” outlet (cannot be changed)
• Airbox not compatible with US-spec 80 Series using factory cruise control motors
• Compatible with dual batteries in most layouts
• Airbox does NOT include crankcase breather plumbing
• Designed for guard-entry snorkels only

• This airbox uses an LS1-style panel filter (Ryco supplied)
• No piping from the airbox to turbo is included
• Designed for diesel engines (1HZ / 1HD-T) – petrol requires modification by customer

Airbox Location: This airbox mounts in the factory location. Some vehicles may require using different mounting holes depending on build variation.

Installation

• Typical install: 1–2 hours (airbox only)
• Airbox bolts into factory location using supplied hardware
• Ensure crankcase breather is connected to your piping kit not the airbox
• Confirm aftermarket turbo or intercooler clearance with photos if concerned

FAQ

What is different between the airbox bases?
The port location. We supply either centre-port or offset-port depending on the snorkel chosen.

Does the airbox suit a 1FZ-FE petrol engine?
This airbox is built for diesel models. Petrol fitment is possible but requires customer modification.

Does the panel-style airbox suit US-spec vehicles?
No. Most US 80 Series have cruise control motors that physically block installation.
We recommend the pod-style airbox for US vehicles.

What size are the inlet and outlet ports?
Both ports are 4 inches (cannot be changed).

Do you still sell an airbox for the 1997 1FZ-FE?
Our 80 Series airbox will physically fit and we have customers running them on 1FZ-FE engines, but Radius Fabrications has not personally installed one on a petrol model.

Will airflow changes affect the MAF sensor?
In vehicles equipped with MAF sensors, readings should be monitored,
but our kits have been dyno-tested with no codes or performance issues.

Does the snorkel & airbox work with aftermarket turbochargers?
Yes many customers run aftermarket turbos successfully.
Ensure the increased airflow matches turbo requirements.

Any issues with aftermarket exhausts?
No major issues. Just ensure overall airflow dynamics remain balanced.

Are aftermarket intercoolers compatible?
Yes, generally compatible.
We request photos to confirm clearance for your specific setup.

Where does the crankcase breather go?
Radius recommends connecting the crankcase breather to your piping kit, not the airbox (due to paper filter use).

Will a dual-battery setup interfere?
Usually no, but careful layout planning may be required.
