The Radius Fabrications 79 Series Airbox is engineered for maximum protection, maximum airflow, and long-term reliability in the harshest touring and off-road environments.
After the success of our 200 Series panel-filter airbox, we built the 79 Series version using the same proven principles. Each unit is CNC designed, laser-cut, TIG welded, and then precision-machined on our 5-axis mill to achieve an exceptionally tight seal around the Toyota 200 Series panel filter. Once the lid is tightened down, you know that close to zero dust is entering your V8 protecting engine performance and longevity for thousands of kilometres.
There’s no clear lid, pod filter, or gimmicks here. This airbox is built for one job: keeping dust and water out of your engine while delivering clean, consistent airflow.
Using the Toyota 200 Series factory panel filter (not included) makes replacement easy anywhere you travel, any dealer or mechanic can supply one.
This is the REAL DEAL panel-filter airbox upgrade for your VDJ LandCruiser.
Airbox Location: Designed to fit the factory position. Brackets may sometimes align to different mounting holes depending on vehicle tolerances.

Fitment Information
• Suits VDJ V8 76, 77, 78 & 79 Series LandCruisers
• Designed to run the Toyota 200 Series panel filter
• Works with Radius Fabrications snorkels
• Can be plumbed to Armax snorkels using a 4.5"–4" reducer (not supplied)
• Compatible with dual cab, single cab and wagon body types
• Will not suit the 2024+ updated models
• Not compatible with HDJ (V6) engines or petrol variants
• In some builds, brackets may pick up different mounting holes depending on vehicle-side variances
• If fitting to a non-Radius snorkel, photos will be required to confirm suitability
Installation
• Typical installation time: 2-4 hours
• The airbox mounts directly in the factory location
• Standard tools required
• Check that all clamps and airbox hardware are correctly tightened
• After installation, always perform a dust test before remote travel

Does Radius supply a filter with the airbox?
No, the 79 Series uses a Toyota 200 Series panel filter. Please purchase separately.
What size are the ports on the airbox?
Both inlet and outlet are 4".
Will it work with the 2024 model 79 Series?
Not directly. The guard design has changed.
Do you make a petrol version?
No, only the VDJ V8.
Is tuning required?
No, it is not essential after installation.
How effective is it in water crossings?
Extremely effective when fitted correctly. It elevates intake height and uses a sealed panel filter design.
Do Radius airboxes improve performance?
