The Radius Fabrications Small Pod Airbox – Front Corner is a purpose-built intake solution designed specifically for Nissan GQ Patrols where engine bay space is limited, particularly on dual battery setups.

Mounted in the front corner of the engine bay, this airbox is engineered to deliver maximum cold air intake while protecting the pod filter from water and dust ingestion. It is designed to work with long-entry snorkels or aftermarket snorkels that enter through the guard near the headlight.

What snorkel does this airbox suit?

This airbox only suits long-entry snorkels that enter through the guard near the headlight.

• GQ long snorkel → suits short pod

• GQ short snorkel → suits long pod
  

Does this airbox suit the factory airbox or standard intake?

No. This airbox does not suit the standard factory airbox setup.

Is this airbox required for dual battery setups?

Yes. If your GQ Patrol has dual batteries, this front-corner small pod airbox is required.

Will this airbox work with a front-mount intercooler?

In most cases, front-mount intercooler piping will interfere with this airbox.

We recommend:

• Customer supplies clear photos

• Piping may need to run over or under the airbox

• Fitment cannot be guaranteed

Does Radius Fabrications supply piping from the airbox to the engine?

For GQ Patrol airboxes:

• Customer must source or purchase a custom piping kit

• Piping typically consists of silicone hose and alloy pipe

• No engine piping is included

Will this airbox work with a Safari snorkel?

The airbox aligns with Safari snorkels in position, however:

• No piping is supplied

• Piping may need to be modified or replaced

• Fitment is not guaranteed

Does this airbox suit petrol engines (TB42 / TB45)?

This airbox is designed primarily for TD42 diesel engines.

Some customers have fitted Radius airboxes to petrol Patrols, but:

• It is not recommended

• Fitment cannot be guaranteed

Will this airbox fit if I have already trimmed the inner guard?

In some installs, inner guard trimming is required.
The silicone join is intentionally tight and may not pass through without modification.
