The GU Patrol changed shape across its production run, and a snorkel designed for an earlier series will not always sit cleanly on a Series 4 vehicle. We fabricate this snorkel to suit the Series 4 specifically, which means the bend angles, head positioning, and guard alignment are matched to this generation rather than adapted from an older design.

Built From 304 Grade Stainless Steel
This snorkel is fabricated from 304 grade stainless steel, selected for its strength and natural corrosion resistance. Where coated mild steel relies on a surface treatment that can be chipped or worn through over time, stainless holds up on the strength of the material itself. For a component permanently mounted to the exterior of the vehicle and exposed to sun, salt, mud, and constant vibration, that distinction matters over years of use rather than just the first season.
Every unit is CAD designed, CNC cut, and hand fabricated by our team in Capalaba, which keeps fitment accuracy and finish quality consistent across every snorkel we produce.
Engine and Airbox Compatibility
The passenger side Series 4 snorkel suits TD42 and ZD30 powered GU Patrols and is compatible with the standard factory airbox, a Radius Fabrications airbox, or aftermarket 3, 3.5, or 4 inch airboxes. This gives you flexibility whether you're keeping the factory intake setup as is or planning an airbox upgrade alongside the snorkel.
For TB48 petrol engine owners, the snorkel can work, but extra piping is required to connect to the factory airbox. Before ordering, measure your inner guard diameter and the inlet size on your existing airbox to confirm the piping you'll need. TB45 owners can also run this snorkel, though some modification to the supplied piping may be required depending on your specific setup.
It's worth noting that GU and GQ Patrols were not factory intercooled, so we cannot guarantee compatibility with custom intercooler piping configurations. If you're running an aftermarket intercooler setup, get in touch with us before ordering so we can talk through your specific fitment.
A small trim to the inner guard may also be required to fit the silicone join, as the fit is intentionally tight to ensure a secure, long lasting seal. This is a normal and expected part of installation rather than a sign of a fitment problem.
Finish and Style Options
This snorkel is available in rear facing, low cut, and forward facing styles, along with finish options including polished stainless, powder coated black, and seamless variants in both polished and powder coated finishes. The right combination depends on the look you're after and how the snorkel sits against your Series 4 body lines.
It's worth noting our snorkels are not classed as seamless as standard. The standard finish shows a small, visible TIG weld join at each bend, which is typical of fabricated snorkels built this way. If a fully seamless result matters to your build, select the seamless option when ordering.
What's in the Kit
Every kit includes the passenger side stainless snorkel, a fitting template, silicone joiners, hose clamps, mounting brackets, and instructions. We recommend using an air hacksaw for the guard cut, as it delivers the cleanest edge and avoids the rough finish that other cutting tools can leave behind.
Standard shipping includes silicone to suit the standard airbox unless you specify a different configuration when ordering. If your build pairs this snorkel with a different airbox setup, note that in your order so we can supply the correct fitment components from the outset.
As every snorkel is made to order, we recommend confirming your style, finish, and airbox selection carefully before ordering, since replacement shipping for incorrect selections is payable by the customer.
