Passenger Side Stainless Snorkel for the Toyota 100/105 Series LandCruiser: The Dual Snorkel Look

Passenger Side Stainless Snorkel for the Toyota 100/105 Series LandCruiser: The Dual Snorkel Look

There is a well-established culture within the Toyota LandCruiser community around the dual snorkel setup. Two snorkels, one each side of the A-pillar, give a 100 or 105 Series a look that signals serious build intent before the owner has said a word. It's one of those modifications that gets noticed by other four wheel drive enthusiasts on the road and on the track, and it works visually on the 100/105 platform in a way that few other exterior additions do.

The Radius Fabrications Passenger Side Stainless Steel Snorkel for the Toyota 100/105 Series LandCruiser is a 4 inch stainless steel snorkel built specifically for the passenger side of the 100 and 105 Series. It's a cosmetic snorkel, meaning it does not connect to the intake system or airbox. It's designed to follow the factory body lines on the passenger side guard and is available in rear-facing and forward-facing inlet styles across four finish options.

What This Snorkel Is and What It Isn't

Being clear upfront about this product matters, because the 100/105 Series snorkel market is full of functional intake upgrades and this is not one of them. The passenger side snorkel does not connect to any airbox. It does not supply piping or joiners for an intake connection. It will not affect how the engine breathes, how the vehicle performs in water crossings on the intake side, or fuel economy in any way. No intake noise comes through it because there is no intake path.

What it does is complete the dual snorkel aesthetic on the 100 or 105 Series in a way that looks finished and intentional rather than an afterthought. The fabrication quality is the same as every other snorkel we produce from our Capalaba, Queensland workshop, which means it sits correctly against the body lines, holds its finish over time, and looks the part from every angle.

If you're running a functional snorkel on the drivers side and want to complete the look on the passenger side, this is the product for that application.

Designed Around the Guard Shape, Not the Engine

Because this snorkel connects to nothing under the bonnet, its fitment is determined entirely by the guard geometry of the 100 and 105 Series rather than by engine layout or airbox position. This means it suits both diesel and petrol 100/105 Series models including the 1FZ-FE petrol. The guard shape is consistent across both engine configurations, so there is no engine-specific variant to choose between.

The passenger side 100/105 snorkel is designed to follow the factory body lines for a clean, OEM-style result. When properly fitted, it sits as though it was intended to be there rather than added on as an accessory.

Rear Facing and Forward Facing Styles

Two inlet styles are available: rear-facing passenger side and forward-facing passenger side. The style you choose should generally mirror the inlet direction of the functional snorkel on your drivers side, so the two snorkels present consistently as a matched pair rather than as mismatched components. If your drivers side snorkel is rear-facing, the rear-facing passenger side option produces the most cohesive finished appearance. The same logic applies to forward-facing setups.

Both styles are available through the product page alongside the full range of finish options.

Finish Options

Four finishes are available: polished stainless, powder coated black, seamless polished, and seamless powder coated black. Matching the finish to your existing drivers side snorkel is the most straightforward approach for owners building out a coordinated dual snorkel setup. If your functional snorkel is polished stainless, the polished passenger side unit produces a matched result. If your drivers side is powder coated black, the powder coated black passenger side option keeps the look consistent.

The seamless options remove the small visible TIG weld join at each bend that appears on the standard polished and powder coated finishes. For owners who want the cleanest possible external surface across both snorkels, the seamless finish is worth considering, particularly if the vehicle is also being shown or heavily photographed.

4 Inch Stainless Steel Construction

The snorkel is fabricated from stainless steel at 4 inch diameter, TIG welded in-house at our Capalaba, Queensland workshop. Every unit goes through our standard fabrication process regardless of whether the product is functional or cosmetic, which is why the quality is consistent with the rest of our snorkel range. The stainless construction handles outdoor exposure, track use, and the regular washing and detailing that a well-presented build receives without showing rust or surface degradation over time.

The kit includes the passenger side snorkel, a cutting template, silicone joiners, hose clamps, and mounting brackets. All components needed to fit the snorkel to the guard are supplied. Guard entry is the only style we fabricate. Bonnet entry is not available across any snorkel in our range.

A Note on Installation

Because this snorkel does not connect to an airbox or intake system, the installation process is straightforward compared to a functional snorkel setup. The cutting template guides the guard modification, the mounting brackets secure the snorkel to the A-pillar, and the silicone joiners seal the guard entry point. There is no piping to route, no airbox to align, and no intake connections to seal for pressure testing. For owners comfortable with basic modification work, the install is manageable without professional assistance.

That said, the guard cut still needs to be done carefully. A clean cut using the supplied template produces the best result at the guard entry point, and taking the time to get that right makes a visible difference to how the finished installation looks from outside the vehicle.
